Costs & insurance

Clear costs, no surprises

To give every patient the time and personalized care they need - without restrictions set by insurance companies - our doctors are not contracted with private insurance plans. Treatment decisions are made with your best interests in mind.

Payment is due at the time of service. As a courtesy, we submit claims to many insurance plans so that you can be reimbursed directly. Bring a copy of your insurance card to your first visit and we'll help you understand your benefits.

Medicare: we are a non-participating Medicare provider and do not accept assignment. We submit your claim to Medicare, which determines whether reimbursement is appropriate and forwards it to your supplemental insurance; any reimbursement is paid to you.

Your costs are explained before you begin a treatment plan. We don't pressure anyone into a pre-paid package.

HSA & FSA

Use your health savings or flexible spending account card.

CareCredit

Spread the cost of your care over time (subject to credit approval).

Insurance & Medicare claims

Questions

New patient FAQ

What should I bring to my first visit?
Your MRI and X-ray reports (and the images or disc if you have them), a list of medications, any previous treatment notes, and your insurance card. Wear comfortable clothing.
How long is the first visit?
Part 1 (consultation, exam and testing) takes about 90 minutes. Part 2 (report of findings, imaging review and treatment recommendations) takes about 60 minutes.
Where do I park?
You can park on site in the open-air lot or the underground garage. Bring your ticket - we validate 50% (the daily maximum is $18 without validation). There are also parking meters on Park Avenue, along the east side of the campus between Santa Monica Blvd and Broadway.
Do you take insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider, so payment is due at the time of service - we don't bill insurance as the primary form of payment. As a courtesy, we submit claims to many insurance plans so you can be reimbursed directly. Bring your insurance card to your first visit and we'll help you understand your benefits.
Do you accept Medicare?
We are a non-participating Medicare provider and do not accept assignment. You pay at the time of service; we then submit your claim to Medicare, which decides whether reimbursement is appropriate and forwards the claim to your supplemental insurance. Medicare reimbursement goes to you, not to our office.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Yes. We accept HSA and FSA cards. We also accept CareCredit, which lets you spread the cost of care over time (subject to credit approval).
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed to see a chiropractor in California.
